its driver-assistance tech, or rather, how much of it is standard. All RAV4s come with the Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 suite, which includes precollision braking with pedestrian detection, lane-departure assist, lane-tracing assist, automatic high- beam assist, full-speed adaptive cruise control and traffic sign assist.
Starting with the 2020 model
year, every Toyota Hybrid Battery Warranty is being increased from 8 years or 100,000 miles to 10 years from the date of first use, or 150,000 miles, whichever comes first.
The Toyota RAV4 Hybrid is a great SUV. It offers a huge cargo hold and great fuel economy estimates, even by hybrid SUV standards. The RAV4 also boasts an above-average predicted reliability rating, an upscale and roomy cabin, and lots of easy-to-use tech features. The RAV4 Hybrid has the best overall combination of quality and value in its class, which is why it got the name “2020 Best Hybrid or Electric SUV for the Money”. The Rav4 Hybrid is named as a finalist for 2020 Best Hybrid or Electric SUV for Families award because of its solid combination of cargo and passenger space,
safety and reliability ratings, positive reviews from automotive journalists and available family-friendly features.
Its ride strikes a good balance between comfort and agility and its energetic powertrain produces ample power for daily driving. It is little wonder that the RAV4 stands out in our hybrid and electric SUV rankings.
The 2020 RAV4 Hybrid has just about anything you could want
in a small or hybrid SUV and its horsepower and fuel economy ratings make it a compelling alternative to the gas-only Toyota RAV4. Unlike some hybrids, it offers the same amount of cargo space as the nonhybrid model.
While this hybrid has a high base price for a compact crossover, its rich features list and standard all- wheel drive help make it a great value. In addition to that, it costs less than many rival hybrid and electric
SUVs, such as the Subaru Crosstrek Hybrid which is a Plug-In Vehicle.
The RAV4 Hybrid is a two-row
SUV with five seats with cloth upholstery standard, and synthetic leather upholstery is available. Other upgrades include an eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, heated and ventilated front seats, a leather- wrapped steering wheel, a heated steering wheel, and heated rear seats.
There’s a good amount of space
in both rows and the seats are comfortable. The front passenger seat is mounted a bit too high and cannot be lowered, which may increase the likelihood of hitting your head when entering and exiting the vehicle.
This compact crossover SUV comes with two complete sets of LATCH connectors for the rear outboard seats and an upper tether for the rear middle seat.
The RAV4 Hybrid has a premium cabin full of top-notch materials and excellent fit and finish.
This Toyota’s 37.5 cubic feet of space behind the rear seats surpasses many rival hybrids. The RAV4 has a total
of 69.8 cubic feet of space with the rear seats folded. A low floor makes
it easy to load and unload cargo. The base RAV4 Hybrid comes
with a 7-inch touch screen, Android Auto, Amazon Alexa, Apple
CarPlay, a Wi-Fi hot spot, a USB port, Bluetooth, satellite radio, and
a six-speaker stereo. Several tech upgrades are available, including an 8-inch touch screen, navigation, qi-compatible wireless device charging, an 11-speaker JBL premium stereo, four additional USB ports, HD Radio, and a moonroof.
The Entune infotainment system is easy to use, thanks in part to an abundance of physical controls and a well-placed touch screen.
to par. Cloth and leather seating options are available, depending on trim, as are comfort and convenience features like heated seats, a
power sunroof, automatic climate control and a few more items.
All RAV4s offer the same cargo capacity. With the second-row seats upright, you’ll find 37.6 cubic feet of space for storage. Fold those seats flat and the cargo hold expands to 69.8 cubic feet.
Depending on the model, a RAV4 uses either a 7- or 8-inch touchscreen multimedia display, all of which come standard with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Amazon Alexa compatibility, Bluetooth and more. Nice things like embedded navigation, HD radio and a JBL premium sound system are available on higher-end models.
The Toyota Entune 3.0 system is good, but not great. The graphics look slightly out of date, and the system sometimes lags when responding to inputs. There’s a lot of functionality built in, and certain RAV4s come with a Wi-Fi hotspot to access connected-car apps.
